A location poised for growth

The area surrounding the Sanctuary is poised for considerable economic growth – soon. Both tiers of government have committed $411 million to upgrade Kakadu’s infrastructure, transforming Jabiru from a mining town to a world-class tourist hub. The region’s prosperous agribusiness continues to grow, including ASX-listed Duxton Farms recent acquisition of the 26,000 hectare Wildman Agriculture Precinct. The nearby Adelaide River Off-stream Water Storage (AROWS) $1.45 billion project is also expected to start major construction in 2028. The Mount Bundy Gold Mine has recently received the government green light to commence operations. It is expected to commence gold production in 2028, creating 400 new jobs and forecast to have a mine life of around 17 years.

This positions The Sanctuary development well in accommodating this new workforce with affordable two-hectare blocks, an enviable rural lifestyle and a raft of new amenities, services and infrastructure.
